Integrative Yoga Therapy​
​
Yoga can be used on a therapeutic basis to help promote physical and mental health and well-being. Therapy clinics for individuals are run Mon-Thurs afternoons and Wednesday evenings. Integrative Yoga Therapy can support people experiencing a wide range of physical and mental health challenges. It is particularly effective for health challenges that are exacerbated by stress. Sessions are highly individualised and are based on the goals of each person. Practices to support these goals may include talking therapy and counselling, physical movements (asanas), breath techniques, meditation, mindfulness and Yoga and Buddhist philosophy. The talking therapy is based on a Person-Centred approach and integrates other psychotherapy approaches, including Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT) and Internal Family Systems (IFS). A list of the sort of mental health issues that can be supported includes:

• Stress, burnout, chronic pain, and chronic fatigue
• Relationship issues
• Autoimmune conditions and digestive challenges
• Sleep issues
• Bereavement, grief, and loss
• Trauma
• Feelings of overwhelm, excessive rumination, and worry
• Living with cancer and other chronic or life-altering health issues
• Clients searching for meaning and understanding of life
